USAID/GUINEA IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:

FINANCIAL ASSISTANT

Position is open to all Guinean nationals and those eligible for permanent residence and authorization to work in Guinea

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

This position is located in the USAID/Guinea Office of Financial Management (OFM), but also provides support to the USAID/Sierra Leone office. The incumbent is responsible for controlling and managing the flow of official correspondences, accounting and payments documents in the OFM. Maintains all vital records, ensuring accurate filing of original and electronic file storage via ASIST. Serves as the initial point of contact for customers and customer service queries, office managers, and payroll clerk. The incumbent also assists Financial Analysts and Accountants with managing the USAID/Guinea and Sierra Leone program budget of approximately $92 Million and operating expense (OE) budget of approximately $6.2 Million per year.

The Job holder is required to perform work-related travel. Or the job holder may be expected to perform work-related travel.

Education: Completion of at least two years of full-time post-secondary study at a college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Secretarial Studies.

  Work experience:  Minimum three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in financial management or procurement.

Language Proficiency: French and English level IV, speaking and writing is required.
